Gay Porn Star and Producer William Arnold Newton
He was born July 26, 1965 and he died October 29, 1990. He was the victim of a gruesome murder.
He acted in gay pornographic films under the name Billy London and Billy Porter and produced gay pornographic films under the name Bill E. London. You might notice his name in gay classic movie Head of the Class.
While working at the Hollywood Spa, a gay bathhouse in Los Angeles, Newton met adult film producer David Rey, who helped him land roles in several gay erotic videos.
Newton and Rey eventually became lovers and established London-Rey Productions in 1987. Newton began working at London-Rey as a movie producer, make-up artist and set designer under the name Bill E. London. Before going to L.A. he lived in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, with his partner Terry Elliott, where he earned his beautician license. Elliot still resides there.
Newton was murdered shortly after completing what would be his last film, The Grip of Passion. Newton’s dismembered body was discovered by a transient in a dumpster near Santa Monica Boulevard. His murder remains unsolved. It is believed that he had been kidnapped before his head and feet were found in a dumpster on October 28, 1990. I am not sure why some sources say his body was found October 28 but his official death date is October 29 except the event was not covered very well by the news media. Maybe the media figured the news item was not as important as other news items at the time or there was just too little known about the murder to write an article about it or there was something of a cover up. One internet reference put the event of his death as late as October 30.
There is an interesting piece over on TURBLIMINAL BLOG. Double Talkin’ Jive is a song that appears on Guns N’ Roses’ Use Your Illusion I album. According to the blog Guns N’ Roses’ may have unknowingly done a song about the murder of Mr. Newton. The song mentions a head and arm rather than an arm and a leg but the blog makes a good case.
From Blog:
Here’s Slash’s account, from his autobiography:One event that got everyone talking during the recording of Illusions I and II was the day there was a huge commotion in the alley. It turned out that the cops found a dismembered arm and a head in the Dumpster behind the studio. All I know is that we didn’t do it, but Izzy turned the event into a lyric on “Double Talking Jive.”
Now people paying attention to the Mandela Effect may know my theory that the world is computer like. And one thing that points to that is synchronicity. For example, if you live in the country/rural area with little traffic you may become amazed at the number of times that 2 or more cars will come to a four way stop at the same time and yet there will be no immediate traffic before or after. Another part of synchronicity is the number of times that you will bump into people who you know, though the odds against the two of you being at the same place at the same time are astronomical. At different times in your life you may meet people with the exact same name. How the two people figure in your life, though not related, feel related in some way. The two people with the same name may be a marker to something else happening in your life that relates those two periods of time–the period when you knew the other person to the current period–together.
So regardless, an event that was very poorly reported and where no suspects were arrested, the computer like world/system we are in may have made sure the event was mentioned in a song. Or not. Whatever.
